Before the first walk
- Message on WhatsApp with your dog's details and area.
- A short meet-and-greet, no commitment, just to check it's a good fit for your dog, for you and for Apolo.
- Agree the practical details: timing, access, route and how you would like to hear how the walk went.
- First walk at the introductory rate, then whatever schedule suits.
What to have ready
- Your dog's usual lead, harness and any medical notes
- Access arrangements for pickup
- A number Apolo can reach you on during the walk
- Your vet's name, in case of an emergency
What Apolo needs to know about your dog
- Name, breed and approximate age
- Approximate weight
- How they usually are around other dogs and people
- Lead habits, including any pulling
- Anything medical worth knowing
- Anything that reliably worries them, such as traffic or scooters
- Your usual walking route or preferred area
- Where their lead, harness and water are kept
One-off and recurring walks
Both are possible. Some owners arrange a single walk when something comes up, others settle into a regular weekly pattern with the same days each week.
Because the service is capped at 2 dogs a day, a recurring slot is held only as far ahead as has actually been agreed with you. Apolo does not publish package deals or bulk discounts.
Access arrangements
Access is agreed with you in person at the meet-and-greet and kept to whatever you are comfortable with. Nothing about your home or access arrangements is discussed publicly or shared with anyone else.
Weather and extreme heat
Athens summers are genuinely hot, and pavement temperature matters as much as air temperature. A walk may be shortened, moved to a cooler part of the afternoon, or kept to shaded routes with more water stops.
If conditions are unsafe for your dog, Apolo will say so and reschedule rather than walk anyway. You will always be told what was decided and why.

How much does a walk cost?
A 30-minute walk is €15, with a €10 introductory rate for your first walk. A 60-minute walk is €25, by arrangement.
What areas do you cover?
Apolo currently serves Palaio Faliro, Alimos and Kalamaki. Keeping the service area focused helps us provide consistent and reliable walks.
Is the price different in different neighbourhoods?
No. The same price applies across the whole service area, with no premium neighbourhoods.
How many dogs do you walk at once?
Up to 2 a day in total, not per walk, so your dog gets real one-on-one attention.
Is my dog suitable?
Friendly dogs up to 15 kg. We'll always meet first to check it's a good fit for everyone.
What times are walks available?
Afternoons only. Mornings are not currently available.
What if the weather's bad?
Walks may be shortened or rescheduled during extreme heat. Your dog's safety and comfort always come first.
Do you walk in the Athens summer heat?
Not in the hottest part of the day. Pavement temperature matters as much as air temperature, so a walk may be moved later, shortened, or kept to shaded routes.
Do I need to be home for the walk?
No, provided a safe access arrangement has been agreed with you in advance at the meet-and-greet.
Can I book a one-off walk, or does it have to be regular?
Both work. Some owners arrange a single walk, others a recurring weekly pattern. Availability depends on the daily capacity limit.
Can you walk two dogs from the same household?
Ask when you get in touch. The limit is 2 dogs a day in total, and suitability is checked at the meet-and-greet like any other dog.
What happens if you are unwell or away?
You will be told as early as possible so you can make other arrangements. Apolo does not silently substitute an unfamiliar walker, since a consistent walker is the point of the service.
